Posts: 386 Location: Northern Illinois | I know some of you talk about jigs for muskie, but from what I have seen it's mostly plastic and creatures. I use bucktail and marabou jigs for bass and they are very effective. You can impart a very realistic action on them using light upward flicks of the wrist, reeling etc. Do any of you know of any pre-tied musky size bucktail or marabou jigs? Bigger doesn't always mean just heavier.

I Picked up a dragon layered hair jig and a dirty dancer over the winter.... looking forward to throwing them this season... They also have a new underspin version that I may also need to pick up now too

Posts: 392 | I second checking out Cougar Baits. I picked some up at the Wasau Musky Show. They are high quality and oversized compared to many of the jigs out there. They are 1 oz with some terrific colors.

Posts: 1242 Location: Walker, MN | I like adding a heavy weight to an original Beaver...fishes like a big bucktail jig. I'm a little surprised one of the bucktail spinner manufacturers hasn't come out with a big simple bucktail jig.

I'm a little surprised one of the bucktail spinner manufacturers hasn't come out with a big simple bucktail jig. There’s several spinners out there with 5+ ounce weight…Several guys on LSC are using these 5,6, and 8 ounce, jig- heads. 10/0 hook! You can extend these collars to tie Multiple layers of dressings.
