What is everyone running for quality wood jerk-glide baits. Usually fish Northern WI lakes with clear water. Also put time on the water in dark rivers. Thanks! #SlImEtImEbAbY

I’m not 100% sure they are wood, but I really like my baby honey badger from Ashcrafted Musky Lures on Facebook. Crazy action on it this last fall has a horizontal fin thing on the back like a manta. I fish clear water.

The baits I fish aren't made any more, I would recommend Smutly Dog baits from WVa. m

For clear water, I prefer to use a plastic TripleD crankbait and work it like a glider. Can achieve greater depth and have better depth control too.

Howdy,

For WOOD you can’t beat Smuttly Dog lures by Mark Smith, or Widow Maker lures by Speed Jones. As great as their baits are, they are even nicer people. I can’t say enough about them or their lures.

Take care,

Ruddiger

I also really like the Gene Richardson Wyde Glyde baits I have. Good hard clear coat opn them. You may find some of his work for sale occasionally on this site. Another one of those 'really really good people'. m

I use old Eddie's and Bobbie's and Cobb's. On top of that as stated above I'm Big fan of counting or reeling down a crankbait then jerking it in. And last but not least I have a old custom Thorne Brothers Suick that is extra weighted and in a custom painted in a Crappie color and is 30 years old and has not seen the water in 25, I will use this lure this late October on this years trip.

I find it hard to beat the Phantom soft tail for the price. Definitely going to look into a few mentioned in this thread though!

Those Steve Gould glides look great, might have to pick one up.
