Posts: 1284 Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | I found another use for a jig ripper. It fits perfectly on a Terrova shaft. Mounted directly under the head at the proper angle, it makes for easy one handed stow and deploy. Definitely easier on this old body.

Apparently it was invented to keep his TM head from bouncing while moving, and a side benefit was discovered.. I might try that.. It's in the April/May 2018 issue on pg. 12..

Posts: 1284 Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | Haven't seen the article but what works for me is to have the handle tilted about 20 degrees from vertical towards the inside of boat when in the stowed position.

Posts: 406 Location: SW Ohio | Never thought about using a Jig Ripper. I have a bicycle steering stem attached to mine. Definitely a plus for raising and lower it. The Terrova is now my "spare" TM, backup to the Ultrex. Edited by OH Musky 3/4/2023 8:34 AM Attachments ---------------- ![]()

I mounted mine on the vertical axis. For the purpose of limiting head bounce but for sure is a good handle as well. Screws right on then use a dowl rod inside the handle to adjust for length. Add a rubber table leg cap to the end and your in business.
