Location: nappanee IN | good morning,is there any time when you would use one over the other? is gold a good color when you have walleye in the system and silver when you have ciscoes or does water clarity make a difference? thanks karol |

Location: Racine, Wi | I actually use them in both conditions. The gold tends to work when there is carp, perch, and walleye in the system, but I do well with both colors in both types of water. You will usually notice a preference in the lakes you are fishing, but try both, and get confidence in the system that you are fishing. |

Location: Black Creek, WI | I agree with Tuffy1. Both work in each situation. My personal preference is gold when the primary forage is SUCKER based and silver when cisco are the primary forage base. If forage base in unknown I will often favor silver in very clear water and gold in anything with a tannic (coffee) stain to it.
