Anyone fish the Moens Chain in WI.. and if so have you noticed a huge decline in the muskys being caught?? I have fished that lake for 20 years and also in the HDMC tourney. and I have noticed a huge decrease in the amount of follow ups and actual fish caught..But there has been a more small northern being caught...

The first 10 years of that tourney the moens chain took 1st thru 3rd alot and numerous times the top 3 places but in the last 4 years or so it has fallen to a mid range place in the tourney. If not bottom of it.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this???

I fish it quite a bit. We had several Rhinelander Muskie League outings on the Moen, and did pretty well! Plus, I had a couple very nice fish there last year including my friend Jack's 48.

I fish the Moens chain probably a dozen or so times a year and there are still plenty of muskies in the chain! In the various tournaments such as the Charlie Baker and HMC the numbers may be a little shy of where they used to be, this is especially pronounced in the june Charlie Baker tourny, but there are still lots of fish in these waters, when they're on they are on just like in any other body of water. Just a few thoughts , Dave J
