Posts: 166 | I have several Suicks "resting" on a shelf in my garage with small chips in the bottom of the front lip that keep them from running correctly. Anyone ever have any luck filling and repairing ?

Key is to remember that virtually any wood putty or filler is going to shrink as it dries. Put on more than is needed, than shape to match original profile. If it is a large divot, may wish to do in two steps. I do a lot of wood working and have found multiple applications are the way to go for deep holes, etc. I am thinking for most Suick chips, one should be fine, just over fill, let dry thoroughly and then shape, seal.

Posts: 416 Location: Madtown, WI | Sawdust + Super Glue - OR - Baking Soda + Super Glue both work extremely well. Starbond ultra thin super glue is awesome stuff to work with.

Posts: 1049 | stdevos - 9/5/2022 11:54 AM I like that a few years ago I over weighted a Bobbie and drilled it out a filled it with puddy and it was still too heavy, so I ended up gluing a piece of wood doweling in it. (ugly but it worked)Sawdust + Super Glue - OR - Baking Soda + Super Glue both work extremely well. Starbond ultra thin super glue is awesome stuff to work with.
