Posts: 200 Location: Milwaukee, WI | Does anyone know what material is used for the Hirch’s ghost tails?? It does not seem to be bucktail. Having issues getting good quality/ length of bucktail lately.

Posts: 2236 Location: SE, WI. | Don’t know what Hirch’s uses. Ask them direct. Most bucktail manufacturers corner the market on long hair. Suppliers many times give them first choice In lengths because of the volume they buy. The Skull Faux Hair is Synthetic which runs about 6” long, if that’s what your referring to? I’m building a tinsel/ Hair combos that have been very productive. It’s the cats meow how the bucktail hair controls the tinsel from getting tangled, wrapped. Most tinsel baits knot up after an hour or 2 usage;( JD

Posts: 319 Location: In the slop! | Some of his tails are bucktail and some of the smaller ones are made from squirrel tail. Like JD says, a direct inquiry with them would be most accurate.

Posts: 1194 | I have one and it seems to be true bucktail and for the record the largest Muskie I've ever seen followed it (it never crossed it mind to eat it) Tourist fish trained to follow on last night of trip so you'll come back next year!
