Thinking of heading to Cass lake later this summer. Its had a reputation of being kind of rough with cars/boats left at boat ramps subject to damage and theft. Any thoughts?

While I've never personally had any problems at the public access, I've heard it can be an issue on occasion. Another option might be to pay and launch at Stony Point or one of the other resorts.
