I'm looking at getting a rod built, who's out there for rod builders? I prefer to keep it under 300, as I'm somewhat balling on a budget lol. I've seen tuscarora tackle, and yogi rods, any feedback from actual users on here?

not sure if Jeremy (tuscarora) is still building or not but if so I would highly recommend him. He built a bunch of rods for me

I’d seen a bunch of his work through some different threads, made me really interested in his builds. His website seems to be a dead end as all I could do was visit it and I couldn’t use the start rod build button or whatever it is.

What kind of rod are you looking for? If you are looking for a 1 pc longer than 8', I'd suggest finding someone local, or as far as you're willing to drive. The cost to ship anything over 8' WILL BE VERY EXPENSIVE. Facebook has several custom rod builder groups that you could use as a resource to find someone. Custom Rod Building, and the Custom Rod Builders Guild would be 2 of the largest fb groups to check with. If you are looking for a 2pc, or telescopic, your options for builders increases to anyone in the US. I have several good options for 1 pc up to 8', or 2 pc/telescopic if that is what you are looking for. PM me if interested, and we can discuss.

I am looking for a 9' or 9'6 telescopic in the 2-10 oz range, 18" rear grip, split grip handle, and also preferable a revolution reel seat.

I believe you just described what is currently offered in Chaos Assault Sticks rod. It's too bad the 20/20 rods don't appear to be offered with a revolution reel seat as of yet as it would be nice to get the physically lighter rod blank with that reel seat.

I think you will be hard pressed to get a custom built rod under 300

I figured that was probably the case, I know Yogi Rods has customs at 293 so that may be my only choice for a custom under 300

You've just described a Tackle Industries TI PRO. It has everything that you've stated above, and in your budget. These are pretty good blanks.

Wish they made a split grip telescopic in the XH Pro rod, that's the only reason I was considering a custom.
