Posts: 306 | I'm finally getting back to Ontario this summer! Scrolled through 7 pages and didn't find many posts about line, so.. whats everybody using this year? Last time I used my gear (2019) I was using Cortland Masterbraid and PP Super8 Slick with Stealth Strand Wire leaders.

Posts: 1204 Location: Walker, MN | I use 80# Sufix 832, really impressed with it. 65# on a few down-sizer rods. 9" 174# wire leader or 12" 180# Fluoro leaders. 5' 150# leaders for trolling. Can't go wrong with stealth tackle.

Posts: 60 | For casting I have 80# Hi-Seas Grand Slam and 80# Power Pro on multiple reels. Leaders I make my own with Climax or Yo-Zuri 100# fluoro, Berkeley 90# 7-strand wire, AFW 174# solid wire, or 100# NiTi wire from Knot2Kinky. Application and length depending on the lure type. Trolling I use 30# P-Line CXX fluoro coated mono, and 40" fluoro 100# leaders.

Posts: 1677 Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Trying seaguar smackdown braid. It is by far the best for spinning reels for bass. Trying one reel this year. Otherwise I use original Sufix performance braid 65, 80, or 100 depending on baits. I make my own leaders. 9-12” 180 hi seas fluoro for straight retrieve baits, 175 lb 49 strand for pull/pause rubber, 6” 174 for small baits, 5’ 175 49 strand for trolling.

Posts: 376 | I have tried just about all of the various braids especially the newer on the market the last few years. I believe they all are pretty good.but I am still a fan of Cortland Masterbraid.
