Posts: 20180 Location: oswego, il | This was delivered yesterday. It's a saltwater lure called a Nomad Design Maverick. It's the 9.5" calmwater floating version which seems impossible to find. This is the only color that can be had at retail the other colors go for 2-3 times that. Kinda surprised it didn't come with hooks. It's versatile, and it's a jerkbait, popper, walk the dog glider/ topwater and crankbait. Looking forward to trying it. I was glad to get it. The package was delivered to another address in another part of town. The good Samaritan brought it to me and I noticed the vehicle going to different homes trying to find me Attachments ---------------- PXL_20211218_203248425_1639859632173.jpg (86KB - 168 downloads)

Posts: 267 Location: Central Pennsylvania | Some swimbaits and jigheads, chatterbaits, slashbaits, spinnerbaits, heck maybe even some jigs. Pretty much just "bass" lures and similar stuff. Also, some big swimbaits! Other than that, I really have no clue what other stuff is worth picking up for tigers.

Posts: 76 | Extra hooks. Very recently got back in the game. Way back when I was using a cradle. Met Herbie at a show and he talked me out of that. Said I would get a Suick in the face. So of course I then went to just hand landing everything including those with Suicks in their face. But I was a younger man then so now I have a net. And in reference to the other thread it has 1" netting. It really does do a nice job of taking care of the ripped fin issue but yes, I have to cut hooks every now and then. Not used to carrying extra hooks so that is my single must have purchase this winter.

Posts: 296 | I’m buying a new net but don’t know what to get. RS, Drifter, or Clam? The Beckman Finsaver has been good but when they tangle, they tangle.

I think the heavier Drifter bags (Predator) are a good compromise. I put one on a Frabill frame and am pleased. -My2 cents

Posts: 296 | I'll be buying a few Lee Lures at the show for sure. Those of you interested in a Garmin Panoptix live scope system, my musky club will be raffling one off at the show this year. Its the 9 inch model and includes the live scope transducer. Raffle tickets are $1 each or a book of 6 for $5. We're the guys who raffled off the Mercury kicker motor in the past for decades at all the shows. Difficulty finding motors this year, and we wanted to try something new. These Garmin's seem to be a hot item! Hope you can make it out to the show and stop by the MIDWEST MUSKY CLUB BOOTH for some raffle tickets! GARMIN ECHOMAP UHD 93SV+TRANSDUCER & LIVESCOPE TRANSDUCER Valued at $2500 The raffle is part of our annual fundraiser. It helps support our club, muskie stockings, Illinois DNR, High School fishing clubs, etc. Thanks! Larry Downes Secretary Midwest Musky Club

Posts: 3472 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hiya! Muskie-wise....nothing. I already have too many baits and I am not getting out on the water as much as I used to. That said, here is the ONE thing I will be buying.... A dimmer for my backlit switches. A couple of years ago, my wife and her entire family bought me new backlit switches for the boat...and man, are they bright!! At night, it is too much, making it harder on my aging eyes to see as well. So....I will be adding a dimmer dial to the backlights so I can dim them down like you can on your dash in the car. It will be a nice feature, but I am hopeful I don't have to tear all my wiring apart to do it.... Should be pretty easy but I have to crawl under to see what it will take. hoping it is just a main splice in from the navigation lights, to the dimmer, then back to the main wiring. More time on my back under the console of the boat..... But a fun little project nonetheless... I'm holding off on redoing carpet yet... That is coming at some point, though... With a pad underneath like the bass boats... Of course...now seeing the livingston titan....that might go on a list to have... Dang you guys....you are costing me even more money!! Steve

Posts: 1971 | Don't really need anything, probably get a replacement pair of Knipex, still hands down the best hook cutter made, IMO - my ole pair has been in the boat 16 years, even after 100's of cut hooks including dozens of 7/0 and 8/0's..the ole pair still work, just have to grunt a little..one tool no muskie angler should be without.
