Posts: 2 | Is it possible? Everything seems to be at least 4-6ozs heavier in comparable sizes and actions. I did struggle finding what Savage Gear Rods weigh. Anybody else found lighter more budget friendly (i know, i know subjective) rods. Thanks

This might be SC heresy, but I put down my Big Nasty after I started using the 9' Pro Musky with Revolution reel seat. I also have a couple jerkbait rods which are all light. I like to work jerkbaits with my wrist which is only possible for me with a light rod. Durable so far.

Posts: 66 | Shield Rods at Musky Shop. Currently there is free shipping on them as well. They are very nice at the price point they are.

Posts: 759 | Slime King - 9/27/2021 12:30 PM Yep, mine is featherlight. I have the 7'03" heavy model and it, believe it or not, is as light as some of my ultra light panfish rods.
