Location: The Land of Lincoln | Can anyone out there give me some info on Fig Rig Rods as their website has not been very helpful due to construction?
First, I heard from someone that they are made on Diamondback blanks but I can't seem to verify this. So is it true?
Second, specifically, what kind of guides are on the fig rigs?
Third, I couldn't find any info on their warranty terms either so can anyone provide that info?
Fourth and lastly, where can I get the best deal on them (either on the web or retail)?

Location: Chicago, Beverly | They are the Diamondback blanks by Cortland. Here is a post(from a different website) I found by the guy that makes them: Just to clear up a few things as far as the blanks we use the diamond back blank it is the same blank the custom rod builders are useing, but yes we do cut them diff to meet the needs for spec actions all rods are spined for max hookset and casting. We had a problem getting the quanity of rods that we need from diamondback, they have assured us that they would be able to meet our needs for production this year all figrig rods will have fugi components port.cork I'am sorry I seem to be rambeling on I'am not trying to sell anything I just wanted to clear up a few things any questions you can also e-mail me at [email protected] I'll be in Milwaukee first of Feb if anyone wants to B.S.
I think Smokey's is supposed to be carrying them.

Location: Kentucky | I got a 7'6" MH fig rig from Smokey's several month's ago. It is heavier action than my Avid series ST. Croix, but it is lighter than it is. I love it. I will have to have a couple more. I don't think you will be disappointed. I think I only gave 160 for the figrig and 210 for the Avid. cpr Chris |

Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | You may want to try contacting Crazy D Tackle in Elk Mound WI. They carry Fig Rigs and have a Spring show at which you can try them out. They will put a reel on one for you and let you cast till you find the right action and length. You can buy one there or order one customized to your liking I believe. Give Ron & Amy Douglas at Crazy Ds a call. Ask them about the show and all they have to offer. Tell Ron I said hello, Mike.

Location: Eau Claire, WI | Fuji guides, Portugese cork, Cortland blanks, not sure about the reel seats.
I have used three of them for my workhorse rods over the past three seasons... I absolutely love them.
Crazy D Tackle, Pastikas, Smokeys.... Take your choice. Crazy D's has demo models you can try as mentioned by Mike. |

Bought one at Christmas from Rich at Pastika's for $159. A 7'6" MH / Gregg Thomas model. Great backbone and light as a feather. Nice price for the quality. You'll be hard pressed to find a better rod for under $200. |
