Location: new richmond, wi. & isle, mn | Ace spinnerbaits. Yeah spinner baits in general. My biggest three pike have come on mag dawgs and double tens. Black with either chartreuse or flo orange. Them big pike seem to like a little show. Even in the clear water. |

| I have a couple of bigger spinnerbaits I can try. I'm trolling exclusively between 3-5 mph so I don't know if they will blow out or not. I'll give it a shot and see what happens. |

Swimmin Dawgs too are a good choice.... belly roll on the shallow version are deadly |

I'll give it a shot and see what happens. I build 5,6,8, ounce spinnerbaits for a couple guides on LSC. They speed troll them out there. No blowing out those puppies;) Try putting your rod tips down in the water 2-3’ to keep spinnerbaits lower in water column. Those white 10” jakes should work good for what speeds your doing...especially the closer to 5mph. JD |

| trolling those speeds...bright colored (orange tiger, fire tiger) 10" jointed believer generally get LOTS of pike attention when they are on the reefs |

| Not pike, but I like the idea of trolling spinner baits. Have not trolled a lot for musky, but have had some success when I did and thinking about running a single hook spinner bait next to weed edges sounds like something I will try. Pick up less weeds than a crank bait and provide a "thump" that might lure some fish out of the weeds. |

| as for trolling spinnerbaits. i often put a willow leaf blade on, say on a large rad dog with a willow itll stay in the water as long as you keep the rod tip in the water. i also will add an inline sinker above the leader. you dont really even have to put it in line either, sometimes i just clip them on
i have good luck on rocks with smaller twitch baits like the 7" big game. I've caught tons of pikes on one. |
