Posts: 189 | Crazy number of boats out on Saturday. We picked a rather small area on Saturday having scanned it on Friday afternoon and confirming some fish present. Got to the launch to be on the water just before first light. Ended up being the third boat out. The two boats ahead of us both caught muskies a 40" and a 46". We moved one really nice fish that missed on the 8. Once the sun was up the place was a parade of boats and it was over. Went back this morning and never moved a fish. We did talk with both the other anglers and they indicated both fish had some minor spawning wounds. Water temp jumped almost 10 degrees from Friday to Sunday.

Here in northern WI, most boats I have seen on opener (not muskie). We have had a place on the lake since 2004 and never saw multiple boats fishing in a small area like that before. The nice thing was a lot of kids in those boats.
