Posts: 549 Location: deephaven mn | I dont think the guy with the 29" rapala has a chance. the lure is more than he can handle. Wegner's wife will catch a fish on that bait. True giant is possible still laughing at the rapala guy thanks for posting Edited by kap 4/28/2021 7:39 AM

Posts: 103 Location: ITALY | I am convinced that there is no large bait that cannot be attacked ... but giant bait does not always correspond to a giant predator ... https://ibb.co/b25Qdgr Crank homemade 17", pike 38,5" https://ibb.co/D1cKT18 Bulldawg pounder, zander 37" Jake 14", zander 35,5" https://ibb.co/VCnp2gq these are some of the examples, but I have had quite a few similar situations Edited by Cicciospin 4/30/2021 4:32 AM

Posts: 384 Location: Northern Illinois | I think in general: Big baits = Big muskies + very few small muskies. Smaller baits = small, medium and large muskies. If you are fishing tight to structure or on the "spot", I think you can trigger big muskies maybe almost as well with the smaller lures. If you are fishing big open water or covering a lot of water, a big bait will attact more big fish as it can be more easily seen (or vibration sensed) from a distance.

Posts: 164 Location: Alexandria, MN | I think it all depends on the mood of the fish, the forage base, and how frequently they feed. A buddy of mine explained it this way... "Sometimes, you're really hungry and want a full steak dinner. Once you finish, you may be absolutely stuffed and may not want another bite.... until someone walks by with a bag of Mini Reese's peanut butter cups.... you still grab one". I think muskies are a lot like the people who pursue them. Opportunistic feeders.
