This white transducer is mounted on the used boat I bought last year and I'm not sure what it is. Can anyone help?

Looks like a speedometer pitot pickup.

Thanks Steve! I have never had a boat with a speedometer before.

With GPS, is this necessary to keep? It is in the way of where I would like to mount a new transducer.

Its not needed as long as you want to abandon the mechanical water pressure speedo on the dash.
