Joe Bucher likes to use a St Croix Legend Tournament "Down Sizer" rod for small bucktails and crankbaits. I'd like to have a similar setup, but would prefer not to pay Legend Tournament prices. Are there any other manufacturers that make something similar? Maybe a heavy bass setup? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Sam

What is your budget? I would look at the specs on that rod and then look at less expensive rods with those specs. Bass rods tend not to have long handles so you won't be tucking one under your armpit.

A bass swimbait rod typically has a longer rear grip than other bass rods. I like the TFO swimbait rod for a downsizer for throwing 1-4 oz lures.
