| Debating spending the extra 400 on the link model, or putting the money towards a larger hummingbird unit. I fish smaller lakes that I’m very familiar with, not much trolling. Does anyone have experience with both units? |

| Yes. I prefer the link model because it will cast a line on the map when pushing the AP "autopilot " button. I can line up this line on a way point that marks a tree or bolder, and I know without Doug made the correct cast because I can see it on the map and on LiveScope and I can aim down the trolling motor head.
Also I can run several of the functions in The humminbird |

Went out yesterday with one of the elders of a club I'm affiliated with. I invited him to fish from front, and wowed him with the technology.. The only downside was he was tasked with deploying and stowing the Terrova, and was getting pretty tired by day's end..
Back to the point...follow the contour makes all the extra cost worthwhile.. |

| Just talked to the dealer where I am ordering an Ulterra with Mega SI. He stated that to have Mega SI you must also have the Link. Mega DI can be ordered without Link.
Since I want the Mega SI, ordered the Link. Looking forward to the new trolling motor. My old Power Drive is tired and at times seems possessed with a mind of it's own. |
