| Had a trolling motor go down (water in motor) and the repair cost($600) doesn't seem worth it. Does everyone just scrap / junk their old motors? Seems like a waste since it was a good motor - 2013 terrova 101 ipilot. |

Location: Walker, MN | I had two Ulteras and one Terrova go down this year. One cost $900 to repair, but is like brand new now and will make a great back-up motor. I'll be making one Ultera out of two this winter. They get used a lot, but this was my worst year ever for trolling motor deaths. For me it's definitely worth fixing them. Throwing away perfectly good parts doesn't make sense to me...just because one or two components are broken. |

Location: Madtown, WI | Have you looked into repairing it yourself? I had 2001 powerdrive giving me trouble a few years ago, I was looking at buying a new one but found I was able to replace motor and then some for $250 and it's still running to his day for the new owner. Point is, I haven't been inside my ulterra yet, but generally speaking there isn't a whole lot to these motors. |
