I'm leaving shortly to pick up my new fishing and hunting partner. She's a Black Lab, and is 7 weeks old today. I'm sure she will be a faithful partner in the boat and the field for many years to come. I'll post pics when we get her back home. Even the wife is excited about our new family member.

Congrates on the new partner. I got one myself. Where is she from and what is her history. Mine goes back to a River Oaks Corky-Candlewoods Nellie B Good line breeding. My first lab, so far so good. Was used to those pointing dogs.

Mark,

Here is a pic for Mande's album. She will be going everywhere with me! Chad, sire is FC-CFC Piper's Top Gunner and the dam is from FC-AFC Webshire's Honest Abe. Goes back to Trumarc's Zip Code and Westwinds Pedro. She's gonna be a good one! The wife has named her Blue. Brother's dog is Named Black, so we will hunt with Black 'n Blue. Not sure of the whole name yet. Perhaps Bluemax Tail Gunner

Boy doesn't she look like trouble. Up on the couch and acting like the boss already. Just the way they should be. Very nice looking pup. I drag mine lots of places. She broke one of rods one day fishing while ramming around so I grounded her from the boat for a couple months. She has earned her way back in. She is 18 months old and we are having that sophmore "I don't know what you taught me" thing. Can't wait till that goes away. She was a great muskie partner this fall. Kept me warm while trolling and gave me someone to talk to.

Shepster-
Awesome looking pup. I expect to be introduced right and proper in the next couple weeks. Nothing quite like the smell of puppy breath.

Take good care of her and watch out for land mines.

Theedz,

I'll be up in Adams the middle of January. I think a right formal intro is in order then. Probably should hit the ice, too. I need an excuse to get out of the house and away from the MIL and the wifey! hehehe

Shep you have a cute little pup there, he looks really good.

I got me new fishing pardner back on August 9 at 6 weeks old.  Man has he grown, sure is fun watching them grow and working with them along the way.  I don't know the background as he's not ACK registered, but I sure like his instincts and he is maturing very well.  He turned 6 months on 1-1-04 and I can't wait to get him in the boat and out in the field.

Good luck with your pup, I'm sure he'll be everything you want him to be.

Matt

i attached a couple pics of him 2 months and 6 months

Shep,

If you get as far as Theedz's and don't plan a trip up here(dragging Theedz along kicking and screaming, of course), i will personally hex your housetraining program for the new pup.
