| I just picked up a Okuma EV x rod (needed a new trolling rod), that will mostly be used on Nipeeing, with a few trips to St. Clair.
looking for reel recommendations that won't break the bank, but will stand up to time and fish.
Must haves are right hand crank, line counter and a clicker.

Location: Alexandria, MN | Okuma makes a pretty good trolling reel, in my experience. I own several Magdas for both walleye and muskie trolling and have for several years. Drags are smooth, clickers are fairly loud, and so far seem to hold up just fine. Affordable, too... usually less than $100.

| I have two of the Okuma Convector 30D that I have used trolling this year. Holds a lot of line, comes with power handle, drag holds consistently, and has a nice loud clicker. Picked them up online for about $80 each. So far so good for one season of use. |

| I have a couple of Okuma Cold Water reels that have a good clicker and line counter. Very happy with them. Don't recall how much they were, but they were quite a bit cheaper than my casting reels. |

| Not looking for "cheap", but $500+ is out of my budget right now. |

Location: WI | Okuma Coldwater 303. Can be found for for about $120. My wife got me 1 for Christmas last year for $113 from Amazon. Personally, I'll pay more and buy from a small business but She loves her internet shopping & free shipping.... |
