Location: Minneapolis,Minnesota | Could someone give me some feedback on this rod? With a meduim action is this rod able to twitch larger baits like a DDD or a Jake?
Thanks |

I've got the 7'2 in Medium which is a little light for DDD's and Jakes,IMHO, but an AWESOME rod, for lighter stuff. 6'10" rod probably would be a little stouter. Sorry not much more help.

| I have been using the 8' Med Heavy and it works great for ddd's and big twitch baits. I would bet the Med is a little on the light side. |

| On a similar note, I have been considering getting the 7'3" MH "Ty Sennet" Fig Rig for jerks, bull dawgs, and big twitchbaits. However, I do not want to get another rod for topwater and was wondering if this rod would be sufficient enough to throw topwater. Is it long enough to pick up a lot of slack line (you can really launch a Jackpot or TopRaider with the wind at your back)? Does it have enough backbone to move some of those wooden baits (Jackpots, Hawg Wobblers, etc.)? Also, I don't throw jerkbaits much, and again do not want to get a specifically designed jerkbait rod, and was wondering if this rod could throw Mantas, Suicks, Magic Makers, and Burts? Does it have enough backbone? I'd appreciate any and all thoughts! Thanks in advance! |

| If the 7'3" MH has the same backbone as the 8' MH has then yes the MH has plenty of backbone to move those wooden baits. If memory serves me correctly, Uh Oh, the 7'3" MH was designed for just the applications you are talking about. |

Good luck!
