Location: winnipeg manitoba | water temp at 32, action slow but did scare up a 46& 42 inch fish. worked rock piles and dead cabbage by drop offs bull dawgs and rapalas worked. look like were done and frozen till next year, hope you guys south get a few more fish..........keep your lines tight.......craig stapon |

Location: DES MOINES, IOWA | Craig, what part of LOTW do you fish?I have fished Sabaskong quite a few years, and was wondering if you jump around or do you stick to one part of the Lake.Hopefully, for safety sake you get enough moisture to raise that Lake at least 3 feet, however, it didn,t seem to hurt the fishing at all.I have more problems with high water, than low water in locating fish.Good Fishing, |

Location: Madison, WI | I've only fished LOTW a few times but this year with the low water was by far my best. 13 fish in the boat in 7 days. The two previous years of extreme high water made it more difficult to locate fish. Spending a day with Doug J in July did not hurt my learning curve any:) I hope that things settle back to a happy, normal level for next summer. I have enough confidence and knowledge to pop my 50" cherry on this awesome body of h2o!!

Location: winnipeg manitoba | i fish all over the lake. i enjoy the north end by kenora, LOTS OF BIG FISH AND NOT MUCH PRESSURE, sabiskoning bay is very good but this year with the water level it was weed choke the only thing that worked was top water. the manitou is under fished and can be excellent. astron bay and sunset channel with tug channel are excellent producers. if you get up here let me know i can advise you . keep ypur lines tight |

Location: winnipeg manitoba | hey you know it . awesome angling and true monsters. my biggest is 57.5 and over the years have caught about30 over 50 inch. hope you reach that mark and if i can help let me know. now i am after that 60 inch, someday she will come. last week on the winnipeg river 15 miles north of kenora a native netted a 62 inch muskie with a 27 inch girth. to bad it died i sure would have liked to battle that beast. keep your lines tight. craig |

| I agree with Craig on the north end of the woods having some of the best unkown muskie fishing there is. There is a good mixture of size and numbers. I hope there is some higher water next year as well. Low water made it alittle scary out there this year.
