| Hi
So my rod is a 7' Fenwick Medium Fast with a lure rating of 1/4 to 3/4 oz.
I was wondering if it could work with 1 oz spoons like some weedless Dardvle spoons, or if I'd have a hard time with them.
If anything, I also have a Shimano Compre Medium-Heavy 1 to 3 oz that I bought for bottom bouncers, I could use it too, but the Fenwick is more sensitive for me.
Thanks ! |

| im a huge fan of fenwick, specifically the eagle line. best bang for the buck out there in my opinion. i love the 7'6" MH eagle rod, it says 1/4-1oz on the rod, but i use it for all my stuff with no issues with lexa 300s. i dont use anything 'big,' bucher 500s, slopmasters, baby DRs, baby shallow raiders, spring dawgs, 6" tubes, and a few homebrew willow bucks. i can throw regular dawgs on there too, but i dont do it much. i do make sure i have sharp light wire hooks.
youll be fine with that spoon as it doesnt have any drag, but youll lack hook set power. |

Location: Ludington, MI | Yeah, the hook set power is the concern. I bought a buddy's 9-foot Fenwick Eagle thinking the same way as you guys. I can cast balsa a country mile, but driving hooks home is tough. |
