Posts: 200 Location: Milwaukee, WI | Heading up to Spring Bank resort on Vermilion the week of June 26-July 4 for the first time since the annual trip to LOTW seems to be a no go. Heading up there for the first time with my dad. Anyone have any recommendations or advice for a Fishing that part of the lake? Smallmouth and musky are the main fins of choice.

Posts: 1763 | Never been there. However I would think if you read some of the threads on the outings you might gather some intel. Then spread a few PM's around and I'm guessing a plan might take shape. Good luck, let us know how you do.

Posts: 284 | I am also headed to Spring bay. The week before you. I have booked Steve per all the requests but cant get him for a couple days. Can anybody point me in the right direction to get me started when I arrive? Does the West end of Vermilion prefer a certain color bait, type of bait in the last week of June?

Posts: 284 | When I'm staying at spring bay will I be even attempting to venture as far east as big bay? Or will I have plenty of places to fish on the west end?

Posts: 32892 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I'd say there's plenty of water to fish on the West end, and some areas I have seen muskies where very few fish folks for them.
