Posts: 32958 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Visit THE place to read about ice news, equipment, and much more. If you are an ice 'eye angler, or fish panfish and pike out on the hard water, visit us, and let us know how fishing has been, read an article, or watch the VERY cool ice videos we will be updating weekly once we have ice on the lakes! www.icefishingfirst.com

| Yes and no - I am an ice fisherperson a/k/a ice fisherwoman. Prefer to sit and jig but like occasional tip-up use so can cross-country ski the lake while fishing...if adequate snow. No "lip" just the facts ma'm. ^ .. ^ | |||

Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Usually about 30 hours a week. I love it as I do musky fishing. Piking with dead bait by day, watching shiner sets for eyes by nightfall is our game. We like to chase gillies till the ice gets thick too!!!

Posts: 239 Location: Madison, WI | I love ice fishing!! Better then not fishing at all. We target pike and end up with our fair share of 40's through out the hard water season. At least it's the same family:) As for last weekend, we made it out on great north woods hard water and pounded the walleyes. Flags were flying all weekend and we had a blast. Not very safe Friday but by Sunday we had 4" of the good stuff. Good luck to all those that venture out on hard water!!
