Location: Contrarian Island | Went to MN with a group of guys last weekend. After 40+ years of Musky fishing John Lyon broke into the 50" club in a HUGE way... his son Jeff and Jerry were all in the boat … bobber rod takes off, they chase it down, John sets the hook, the fight is on... they see the fish and think there is another one following it.. then they realize both fish have a hold of the sucker, T-boned across both fishes mouths... they fight both fish, somehow both are hooked and they stay on.. get both in the net... one is 43.5" and one is a 53 x 23.... Jerry and Jeff were both wearing GoPros, unfortunately Jeffs battery dies mid fight but Jerry got some great footage.... this is one for the ages... 2 fish on ONE sucker rig.. both fish were hooked as well... (bnelson sucker rig too ) Video to come Attachments ---------------- double.jpg (81KB - 500 downloads) double2.jpg (68KB - 497 downloads)

Posts: 1080 | I don't normally Log-In to this site very much anymore these days, but when I do...it's to comment on threads such as this one! That is truly amazing! How very cool is that. One never has a clue what is going to happen with a day on the water musky fishing. Always and adventure. That's for sure. Congrats to the anglers! Can't wait to see the video!

Posts: 2226 Location: SE, WI. | Mama showing daughter how to feed properly....grade,? A+++++++ Very rare, to catch both. COOL! this type of feeding probably happens on a daily basis under the surface, just not with trebles in bait;) Once caught 2 smallies on a floating rapala. Posts: 20179 Location: oswego, il | I have had a double header casting, casting and sucker, a double figure eight hookup but my partners fish got off. Those pale by comparison. That's the ultimate right there.

Posts: 17 | Thanks for sharing Brad! I don't know if I would believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. Best part was watching Dad. I do not think I have ever seen him so excited. Truly an epic moment to be shared by a old muskie nut and both of his sons. Jeff and I are working on editing the video. We will share when ready. Thanks, All!
