Location: Illinois | I have never been able to find a pair of long underwear that fit and kept its shape. The first thing that happens is the pants start to sag. This gives me the feeling that there are two hands pulling my long underwear dowm and it takes my regular undies with it. Then, my top turns into a half shirt. I have tried tucking everything thing in to make myself the human sausage, but I always end up with gut out and plumbers butt. Are there any good brands or I am missing a step when I sausage myself? |

Location: Woodstock, IL | I have three pair of long underwear of various weights that have lasted several years. All of them are from Recreational Equipment Incorporated, a co-op that I am a member of. They cater more towards backpacking but have great equipment.

Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | LMAO, srry had to laugh. I remember wearing long johns (the tighty whities) when I was younger. Would get a great set for x-mas, after one washing shrunk 2 sizes.Think the drier was the culprit.
I cant stand anything fitting that tight...I no longer wear them. I put a pair of oversized sweatpants over my jeans under my bibs and layer up good on top. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I always buy my long handles two sizes too big. Search the bins, and you will find double X sized pants and shirts. They fit no matter what. I can pull the pants all the way up to my belly button if I wish, and cinch them up there with my pants and belt. I lost 30 pounds this summer and found that my long handles even fit better now. |

| rather than the traditional tightie-whities go for a pair of polartec tights, a bunch of companies make them (I'm sure you can get them at cabella's or any outdoor-recreation store like REI or EMS or a ski store). I'm probably on year 4 on a pair of mine, wear them for all outdoor sports so they get stretched a lot--the polyester fibers are light, wic moisture, wear like iron and fit fine under loose jeans. For the ultimate, go for polartec 300 under windproof/waterproof bibs. |

Location: Eastern Ontario | I had the same problem as you, I am tall at 6'3" and a little larger then normal at 250 lbs. The solution I have found was to make sure to lift the bottms up some when I put on my soxs. The fact of having them higher as let me tuck my T-shirts in and not have them fall down. BTW having them a couple inches higher then your ankles won't make a diff with some good soxs. |
