I had a trip with Jeff Hanson of Madisonmuskieguide.com today. We were behind the 8 ball with a nasty lightning storm that rolled through last night into the morning i witnessed multiple strikes on the lake as I was waiting. Water temp was 70* when we started in the AM.

Im a new muskie fishermen and booked with jeff as a learning experience not really caring if i hooked into a muskie or not, i wanted to learn bait presentation and the ins and outs of structure selection in that particular body of water. Let me tell you, Jeff Hanson flat out works his ass off from bell to bell. We had some hits today, and caught some BIG bass and pike, but couldnt get a muskie to stay pinned, but i think i learned more in my 8hour trip today than i would have learned in probably a full season fishing that lake by myself. I really cannot thank Jeff enough for helping me cut the corner on the bell curve as a newbie. I highly suggest anyone looking for a southern wisconsin trip, to call Jeff and book a trip with him. The amount of knowledge he has about the madison chain is other-worldly.

My dad and I hire Jeff twice a year and always have fun and learn a bunch. We were out with him last Thursday and boated 3 musky several pike and I blew a big one at boat not paying attention. My dads PB was with Jeff 2 years ago 48”.
