| I have a 7'6" Premier MH that I use for jerks and big cranks. I love the rod, but the handle is too short for me. Anybody know where I can get a longer butt for the rod?

Location: Bagley,MN 56621 | St.Croix will do it, not that much either. I had it done to a rod of mine myself.
Although I think that the 7'6" is the longest they carry in tyhe Muskie series, the 15" (i think).
I had a 6'6" with a 12" changed to a 15" handle. Maybe a saltwater series handle is what you are looking for??

Location: NEW LENOX IL | I JUST DID THIS TO ONE OF MY RODS MYSELF AND IT WORKS GREAT. I HAD A FENWICK THAT I SNAPED THE BUTT PROTECTOR OFF OF . THE CORK WAS ALL MESSED UP ON THE END BUT INSTEAD OF GLUEING THE BUTT CAP BACK ON I MADE THE MISTAKE OF CUTTING OFF THE 3/4 " SECTION OF THE BLANK THAT WAS STICKING OUT. THIS MADE THE HANDLE WAY TOO SHORT. I WAS GOING TO TAKE IT TO A ROD SHOP AND HAVE THE HANDLE MADE LONGER BUT THOUGHT IT MIGHT COST TOO MUCH FOR WHAT THE ROD WAS ACTUALLY WORTH.
HAD A COUPLE OLD CHEAP MUSKIE RODS LAYING AROUND SO I GOT THE BAND SAW OUT AND EXTENDED THE HANDLE ABOUT 4", USING THE FRONT HANDLE SECTION AND ABOUT 18" OF THE CHEAPER RODS BLANK. I SANDED THE BLANK TO GIVE THE EPOXY SOMETHING TO BITE INTO AND ALSO SANDED INSIDE THE FENWICK BLANK USING SOME 120 GRIT WRAPED AROUND A WOOD DOWL.
I USE THIS ROD FOR BULL DOGS ONLY, THE EXTRA LENTH IN THE HANDLE LETS ME PITCH EVEN THE MAGNUM DOGS WITH EASE.

Location: W. PA. | Thats the beauty of the redneck extension, the wand is tapered so you can push it on tight, no duct tape! and its removable.
