| Fish fast...the fish will move a LONG ways for baits. If you've got good weather, dont be afraid to fish on top the sand flats in the 4-5', range even better if you find the rocks. Cass is EXTREMRLY wind oriented now that the weeds are virtually gone on the main lake. Allen's Bay fishes more typical compared to most MN lakes where the main lake usually takes some time to digest and remotely figure out. Don't hesitate to throw small baits and really get them moving as fast as physically possible. Don't camp, the fish are very nomadic out there. Good luck and shoot me a p.m if you'd like. |

| Fish the main lake bars, and don't be afraid to move up shallow on cedar island. If you can it make thru the channel to pike bay ,that is a good area.

| I was on Cass today from about 8 am to 1 pm. Surface water temp was 73 when I started and 79 when I left. Found a dead 45" muskie floating and I didn't have any bites. I am probably going to put the muskie rods away for awhile seeing how hot it is going to be in the 10 day forecast. Might have to get the walleye rods out again and fish for something to eat. |
