Posts: 40 | Looking for an action lake to take my six year old to. He wants to catch a musky and after plugging away for several outings on some big fish lakes he is getting disheartened. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Posts: 6 Location: Madison, WI | If you're in the Madison area try Lake Wingra. I've only fished it once for muskies but we had 3 and a pike in an hour and a half of fishing. It is absolutely loaded. Not big ones but theres a lot of them.

Posts: 40 | CincySkeez - Actually he is. We have a place on the Chippewa Flowage and I love fishing the Chip but it is a slow lake. I am thinking about trying some of the lakes over in NE Wisconsin but outside of Star, N/S Turtle, and Buck-a-tabin I am not sure where to start. Posts: 40 | I live in central WI but frequent NW and NE Wisconsin. I very rarely get south of Oshkosh.
