Hello all, I have been fishing Leech for several years for walleyes, and have duck hunted it a fair share of time, so I am "somewhat" fimiliar with how the lake lays out, my question is for muskies though, I have never fished it for muskies for some reason. I have a buddy that has a cabin on Little Boy, and have spent all of my time in that area on Little Boy and Wabedo with very good success. Got a new, bigger rig this year and want to give the big lake a go, just not sure where to start on that body of water. We are gonna be up in the area for a week the beginning - mid September this year and was wondering if anyone would be willing to share what to look for general area's on Leech that would point me in the right direction. Thanks

If you get a cooldown that time of year start looking at rocks and shallow weeds. Walker bay always a good start or some of the main lake structures. basically; anything that has a boulder(s) that will mess up your lower unit is worth poking around at if they are relating to rocks ...

If it's in your budget the best money and quickest head start learning curve would be to hire local guide Bob Landerville for a day. Long time leech guide has had much success on the musky tournaments is also a deputy sheriff for that area he knows leech muskies better then anybody.
Also during that time frame you mentioned, the Frank Schneider muskies Inc tournament will be going on so you can see the results and what worked for people also it's a fun tournament to enter.
September is notorious for
the reeds migration and many leech guys will tell you that you run your boat right into the reeds and if you see perch scatter fish the reeds if you don't see any perch move on the muskie probably are not in there.
Landerville is the best option.

I'm goin up there as well, in case Landerville is booked, could someone recommend another good guide or 2? 100k+ acres is a lot of water to cover.
