Hey guys, I hope everyone had a great opening weekend. I was up north in Vilas Co. for the opener and was moving a decent number of fish, hooked into a few that did the classic bait toss. But it lead me to think, I run a GoPro in the back of the boat on a stand, and was curious if any of you guys that also run a GoPro have ever tried using some sort of polarized lens filter to see into the water better. A few of the follows I had into the 8 from good sized fish obviously were not seen by the GoPro because of sun/sky reflection, but could be seen clear as day from my vantage, especially on the clearer water lake that I fish. The GoPro is on a stand about 6 1/2ft up, and I know they sell polarized filters, but wanted to see if you guys have had any experience or have ever tried doing it. It would be really cool to be able to capture some the fish coming up to the boat, especially the big girls. Thanks a lot and good luck this season.

I have one for my camera. They work well. Since it is a single lens you have to pay attention to it's rotation on the mount. Mine rotates and the polarization differs depending on where it sits. Find top dead center on maximum polarization and Mark that spot.

I bought a cheap one off ebay a few years ago and think it makes a difference. I would buy again.
