Random quote: With that, the fella pulled out his wallet and gave the Game Warden a valid fishing license. "Well, son," said the Game Warden, "you must be about as dumb as a box of rocks! You don't have to run from me if you have a valid license!"

Couple lures I've been working on this winter with the kids. All the lures are cedar, wire thru .051 or .062, and hand cut lips.
I had an idea to improve on a flap tail design I made last year, then I decided I wanted to monster size it. So taking some influence from the Coot lure, I made a giant flap tail that I will drag a double 10 lure behind, so I can slow roll it shallow. Should be interesting! I was also playing around with the new mesh I got to create that random pattern. That's fun!

The one crankbait is my interpretation of a 'greenback' walleye that they catch in Lake Winnipeg. With a very vivid emerald coloration, and lighter color than other traditional golden walleye.

WOW!! Now those are really man-sized lures. No messing around with little bitty baits for you.

Love the lace bars on the perch. I’ve been doing that same thing and really like the way it’s turned out. Nice work!

Those are sweet! Do you mind me asking what you are using for mesh on the top and bottom pictures? That is really cool look.

Thanks muskyjim! The mesh is called Darice Metallic mesh. I bought it off amazon for a few bucks, it is a lot of fun to play with!

I got the idea from a youtuber who paints baits, she uses it and has a lot of great tips to get good results. Check her out.
