Posts: 66 Location: Wales Wi. | We had some muskie rods ripped off out of our boats on Leech this Sunday at the Acorn Hill Resort..my partner lost a 400.00$ ghost stick with a engraved reel(Tom Casper),and another guy in our party lost a st.croix Muskie rod..reports of more people lossing stuff..stealing a mans favorite muskie rod is like messing with his woman! so beware.

Posts: 148 Location: DES MOINES, IOWA | SAME SITUATION ON LOTW AT NESTOR FALLS IN JULY THIS YEAR. ALL THE YEARS WE USE TO LEAVE ALL OF OUR EQUIPMENT IN THE BOAT IS OVER.HAVE TO LUG IT ALL DOWN IN THE MORNING, AND THE REAL BUMMER AFTER 12 - 14 HOURS OF MUSKY FISHING LUGGING BACK TO THE CABIN. THEY CAME BY BOAT HIT A BUNCH OF BOATS AT THE DOCKS, AND LEFT. I CAME UP THE WEEK AFTER OR I WOULD HAVE BEEN OUT OF $3000 WORTH OF EQUIPMENT,AND MY MUSKY TRIP DOWN THE DRAIN. IF THIS HAPPENED UP THERE NO PLACE IS SAFE.

Posts: 91 Location: Oshawa, Ontario | Unfortunately guys and ladies - NEVER leaver your stuf unattended. My rods and reels could be replaced under insurance with some heartache, but my boxes of baits (Amma Bamas, Hughes Rivers, Slammers, etc., etc., etc.,) could never be replaced, even if an insurance agent believed the cost. Carrying it out of a boat and walking back to a cottage is worth the brief discomfort!

Posts: 167 Location: IL | They allmost got us on Lake of the Woods at Smith camp. Someone tried to steal our SS props while the boats were in the water at the dock. When we looked the boats over after pulling them out we noticed saw marks on the proplocks. Now we know what those kids in a canoe were doing just before sunset.

Posts: 66 Location: Wales Wi. | I wanted to say this theft does not reflect on the owners of the Acorn Hill Resort in any way...they have been very good to us and I would and will stay with them again...I just needed to vent a little and now its time to chase skis again..in 30 years of Muskie fishing and staying at god knows how many resorts this has never happened to me..good luck stickin a pig this fall..
