Review new boat
Wanted to post a positive review of the new boat. 9.5/10 couple stupid things screw missing in vinyl floor(factory mistake?) delay for delivery. Reading boat works Pa. nice job overall good price 27100 rigged. Paint job/hull stunning black/gun metal gold flake gray carpet vinyl main floor. 3 air ride pedestal seats. Terrova 80 60” 3 optima 27 blue top dual purpose minn Kota 3 bank charger 2 ram mounts (1 trolling ram 1 lowrance) lowrance hds7 carbon 3 gallon tank and line and bracket for kicker (6 Evinrude 2 stroke 1997 got for 350 on CL!!!) Etec 60ho ss 13 1/4 x 17 Michigan wheel Apollo folbe advantage on traxstech 4 xtra alumatrac brackets tool rack shorelandr swing tongue bunk trailer. Trailer surprisingly excellent smooth and boat slides on and off. Ran outboard once for maybe 20 minutes 36-39 mph 5200rpm. Holeshot instant with full fuel and heavy load. Spot lock works couldn’t figure out the “n” (autopilot?) likely user error. Haha 20 minutes to figure out how to get water temp and gps graph is nice. Boat doesn’t rock easily and very roomy. Fits in the garage. I like it a lot more than my last rig ranger 461 vs Comanche Johnson 150.

I have the same boat with a 70 Suzuki and the best I get is 32. Prop or heavy 4 stroke is the cause for a slower speed? The black scratches very easy, besides that it has been a great boat.

The Etec weighs 325 then the tiller handle was added which is at least 10 pounds. The Suzuki I believe weighs 350 so not that much heavier. I would think the propeller. Where is your RPM, if you look at the manufacturers website what rpm is Max? So for instance if you were running 5000 Rpm And Max is 6000 RPM then I would suggest going down in pitch to another prop-stainless, are you running a stainless prop? If you’re running an aluminum prop stainless should add at least 2 mph to top end. I would strongly recommend a stainless prop that get you as close to max RPM without hitting the Rev limiter. Another possibility is your motor is mounted to low. Have you checked with the motor trimmed down to see if the plate above the propeller is lined up or above the bottom of your hull use a level along the bottom of the hull and see where it hits the lower unit. Mine is mounted the second hole down on the bracket, and my anti-ventilation plate is slightly above the bottom of the hull.
