Posts: 1000 | Now that we have almost a season on the board with this rod, what's been the experience of those of you who have used it? Thinking hard about getting this rod next year for the really big plastics Thanks!

Posts: 225 Location: Ontario, Canada | I got to throw a few Pounders with one a week ago, I liked it but not enough to get another rod just for Pounders. I grabbed my Big Nasty and chucked a few immediately after and confirmed what I thought, the BN does the job well enough. If I threw Pounder a lot more I might consider it.

You throw pounders with your big nasty? I have two of them and would be afraid to even try it!! Mags are the limit for me feels like a cast away from a snapped rod!!

I started throwing with my BN earlier this year as well. There's a technique to it, but it works pretty darn well. doesn't put a lot of strain on the rod.

Honestly I don't even try to throw them with my Big dog feel like its over loaded with a pounder too..I Feel Mag dawg is pushin my BN to the Limits I have dedicated Pounder Rod That doesn't get nearly enough use because its solely that but When I do use It I love it and can throw Mags with it no Problem obviously..9ft 6inch Predator XH Honestly You could use the Rod with a Ton Of baits

Posts: 40 | It is an awesome rod. If you spend a lot of time ripping big rubber--for 2, 3, 4 straight days, you'll really like this rod. Now, if they'd just come out with a smaller version for summer ripping..
