It's been a while since there has been mention of this movie, so this is for those newer viewers and you youngin's. I'm heading to the Hayward area tomorrow and decided to watch the movie "Blood Hook" again for the umpteenth time. There are so many muskie references that it is worth viewing at least once or numerous times. It's not a P.C. catch and release flick by any means. Happy remaining days of this incredibly HOT summer folks!

Poor movie except for muskie scenes, but worth watching once.

The producer of this movie was also part of "mystery science theater" he lives in twin cities and for fun I thought of having him has a speaker at our Twin cities muskies Inc chapter. This was voted one of the 25 best 'B' horror movies of all time a few years ago meaning one of the worst or campy.
The dialogue is hilarious and they really stereo type FIBs,real muskies and a lot of familiar musky stuff. the main lead young actor is the son of Irwin Jacobs who used to be the fishing boat industry tycoon.
This movie is sooooo "bad" it's good,,every musky guy especially midwest ones should see it.

I just watched two lane blacktop for the first time a few weeks back after seeing the original 55 Chevy on Jay lennos garage. I thought it was the worst movie ever made, than I remembered seeing bloodhook........

The lead Van Cleese kid is the guy who got pistol whipped in the driveway in Goodfella;s. If you spent some time in Northern Wisconsin, especially Hayward in the 70's and 80's it is a stupid fun movie. The trailer is not intended for 50+ years old F.I.B. muskie fisherman.

Great post! I hadn't heard of this movie before. Watched it last night for the first time - pretty #*^@ funny. My favorite line:

"You want the perfect revenge on the man... you want to take him with a treble hook at night."

"It's like I always say, fishing's okay but remember the lakes not a playground we all have to treat the water with respect" Great movie!
