| Yes some lakes it seems to make a huge difference, others not so much, but i try to be in my best spots, or spots i have moved fish during those times. |

It brings the question to mind though, "If many people fish there best spots at moon phases (and see fish), is it because of the moon phase? Or is it because it is their best spot?" |

Agreed. Some lakes it's almost automatic when they will feed.

| I also fish moon underfoot and moon overhead (majors). I got a 49” today at the peak of the major (moon underfoot). Some days it seems to matter a lot, other not as much. Like others said above, best spots at best moon phase results in higher fish activity...coincidence? Maybe, but I think it’s a valid method and instills confidence. And we all know confidence in our quest is always a good thing! |

| I'm relatively inexperienced and don't get as much time on the water as I'd like, but am still trying to pay attention to moon phases since everyone seems to agree they can make a difference. Even when I've got no "best spots" to hit at prime times on a new lake I still plan to at least be fishing during that time and not taking a break or running between spots. |

| Be on your best spots like everyone else said, but more importantly.i react to which phase I saw activity around, for example if I saw lots of fish at moonset today I'll expect similar activity at moonset tomorrow, given consistant weather conditions. |

| You said it right there, consistent weather. I think that all though all four phases are always important, when you have stable weather for longer periods of time the windows around moon become pretty predictable. When you have fronts in and out not so much, windows good be anytime. Last Friday we had moonrise at 2:30pm. We were on fish, but nothing went. Then between 5:15 and 5:45 we had 3 bites, all from big fish. That was a day with goofy fronts moving in and out all day. |
