New boat has a trailerable cover, worth the effort for 5-6 hours on the road? Does it hep with mpg's? or just keep the boat clean? I've never had a cover before so looking for suggestions.

I don't know about the boat cover and mileage but I would think it would help. I know in my truck it's quite a bit better with the tauneau cover on. The boat cover keeps your toys safe from prying eyes when you stop and prevents stuff from blowing out. You would be surprised at what a transport truck going the other way can lift.

If I'm going on a day trip I leave the cover at home.going for a week I put the cover on so like others said if you make a pit stop it keeps people from seeing what you have
