Anybody out there running either of these units?
Don't know whether to just go with the GPS and keep my locator or go with the GPS/sounder combo.
Any comments on the subject would be appreciated.
I know that there are better units out ther, but I'm not spending a grand for more electronics.

We are using the Garmin 162 and a Garmin 240. We decided to go with seperate units in case we have to ship one in to get it repaired! We are very pleased with both units.

Garmin 162 has outperformed lowrance that cost $100 more in my boat until I caught the transducer wire on a stickup, now, well, it doesn't do so good.
