When did they quit making the narrower older version of the B1 bomber, the one labelled Tony's Secret bait, that has the down curved split tail?

Next question, I picked up a baby cisco kid topper at an antique store up there, it is about 2 inches long has cisco topper stenciled on the top and props on both ends? I hope it isn't something that they have recently come out with and I was a sucker, but I had never seen this baby version and I bit for $12. Looking at the bait I can't believe it would work worth a rip, which makes me think it was manufactured back in the 50s-60s area when they made a lot of baits that didn't work worth a rip. Smaller versions of popular baits were in vogue then also.

Anybody have any knowledge on these two pieces of bait collecting speculation?

I THINK the change came when the bait line was marketed by Uncle Josh in the late 80's, but am not certain. Can't help on the other bait.

Old guys know nothing.;

Usually when bait companies change ownership or move, changes happen. As Steve mentioned, Uncle Josh took over the Burmek in early 1980's if I recall my dates correctly. I suspect this bait got phased out in that time frame. Cisco Kid just stopped production, and then Suick took them over (early 90's???). I've never seen a mini Topper, but have several of the full sized ones. Cisco Kid (from their Boca Raton Fla location) used to make their baits in a variety of smaller sizes, so I have no doubt that this bait is legit.

I acquired a very odd looking spoon several years ago, that looked to be an authentic Eppinger, but did not have the Daredevle logo on the front or stamp on the back of the bait... although the address stamp was identical. I subsequently found out that this was a prototype bait that even the current management at Eppinger didn't know they'd ever produced in that size. It may be a one of a kind. They wanted it, but I decided that I really did not want to part with it.

By the way... we're not "old"; we're just "chronologically challenged". Let's be politically correct here (hee hee)!!!

Age is a result of Mind over Matter, If you don't mind it don't matter

In other words Steve, you have typed out the LONG version of "I don't know either.".

JMD obviously don't know, but he don't care either, now that is how one ages gracefully I think!

No, what I said is what I know. I worked for the guy who managed Uncle Josh at the time, and he gave me the 'new model', so assuming the 'new model' was the result of the change you describe; there it is. That concise enough?

How old ARE you, anyway? I am ancient (51) and am losing my hair, too. Never HAD a jump shot. I intend to go into the twilight kicking and screaming all the way.

Well, that's whatcha get for allowin two Steves on the same site. Actually I was referring to Steve Wickens, and I normally call you Sworrall. Lots of confusion in the advancing years I guess, and be real careful about that kicking and screaming line, you may get what you ask for, LOL!

Remember, anybody can stay young but it takes a real man to look at Alzheimer's and say......ah, well remember, anybody can stay young but it takes a real man to look at Alzheimer's and say.....uh.....?
