Posts: 1310 Location: Washington, PA | I'm hoping it drives the fish crazy. I'll be fishing as long as I can stand up. Of course, I'm not in the brunt of the storm.

Posts: 724 Location: Southern W.Va. | Just a light blow as of 8:00 this evening, and a little rain. Threw on the rain gear and walked the banks of Stephens Lake this evening. Caught 2 twin muskys of about 28" and had a follow from a upper 30's/ low 40" tiger. Caught the 2 small fish on chart. Ghost Tail/ chart. blade but the bigger fish followed " Old Mikie" , that black cherry Sledge. Love that bait!!! Monster fish you caught , John. Hope to see you again at the Cave. Till then, keep it between the ditches. Mauser

Posts: 1247 Location: On the Niagara River in Buffalo, NY | We normaly don't get high winds with an Easterly direction here at the end of Lake Erie.Last night the Upper Niagara River had already began to drop in level as the waters of Lake Erie are pushed toward Toledo,Oh.. If we get the 50 + mph East winds that are predicted this afternoon, the powerplants on both sides on the border will have to close the gates above the falls to continue getting enough water to operate. This will cut the amount of water going over Niagara Falls to a tricle!Reefs and sandbars in the Upper Niagara that are normaly covered by 3 feet or more of water will be dry and seen above the water line. Those who have boats in the water better do a couple preventive measures this morning.First legnthen your ropes so they don't break.Second raise your outboard or outdrive,if the water goes down to where your boat sits on bottom your skag could get broken or transom damaged. After the eye passes through the water will come back and will go up by as much as 3 to 5 feet above normal as well. Location: Athens, Ohio | If Mauser catches one more fish on that Sledge I gave him, I'm gonna hafta steal it back! "Old Mikie" my arse. BTW, I heard back from Sponge, they got some rain but didn't need the boat to get home. He said he'd stop by the board and say howdy. m

Posts: 105 Location: Kawartha Lakes, Ontario | I'm on the shores of Lake Ontario and there are 4m (that's 12 feet) waves crashing on shore right now. I'm pretty hardcore when it comes to fishing in bad weather, but I think I'll stay on land today. I'd like to get out tomorrow and see what this wind has done to the fish....they may be fired up and ready to go!

Posts: 1310 Location: Washington, PA | I was out yesterday, and the fish were going nuts!!!!!! I only made it out for about 3 hours before the river levels were rising, and boated 34", 45", and 31" fish. Not bad for a few hours of work. I'm gonna have to change my name to "hurricane tommy."
