Location: Madison, WI | I just got my new to me boat on the water for the first time and ran into a little issue. My new motor is an Ulterra with ipilot link, and it has the Bluetooth and touchscreen remote. The message on the screen displays “motor not found” I tried pressing the learn button and hit “Pair” on the remote screen and nothing happened. The Ulterra seems to work fine with the foot pedal though? Is the remote just not paired with the motor and if so how do I go about doing so, or is this something else? Thanks |

| You have to go to the menu option on the remote and follow the prompts. It took me 10 min to do mine and I'm no computer wizard after the GPS was changed in the motor. I got all the info from the Minnkota website. Search pairing motor with remote. I did my Ultrex last week you will go through several screens on the remote but it's not hard to do.

Location: MN | You have to press and hold the pair button on the motor head the entire time before and during the point you push "pair" on the remote. When properly paired, three beeps will let you know it connected with the remote. |

Location: Madison, WI | Thanks guys. Turns out the dealer sent me the wrong remote with my Ulterra. Mine says “learn” on the motor head and can not be used with the Bluetooth touchscreen remote. |

Location: MN | At first I was confused because the remotes come paired to the motor out of the box. That makes sense now, as they must have grabbed the wrong remote in the shop and the Bluetooth remote wouldn't pair with the non-Bluetooth motor. |
