what parts of the reel are more prompt to break than the others ? i just want to make a provision of them to make sure that the day they will stop the production i'll be able to replace them.for now i don't like the alternative of any others reel,i want to keep my 2 te as long as possible. so please help me ps maybe a couple of parts from the b model could be used in the te ?

Posts: 1901 Location: MN | Top of my head I can't think of any 400B parts that will work in a TE. In my experience the following are the parts I go through most often or feel you are most likely to have issues with: 2701 click gear 2150 line guide pawl 1703 idle gear C 2404 anti reverse pawl 2733 idle gear B 2764 pinion gear 2949 roller clutch bearing 2224 spool tension spacer

Posts: 1901 Location: MN | Jeff78 - 3/4/2018 3:04 PM I had to replace the driveshaft in mine. Can happen for sure, especially when using a power handle or when using the handle to set the hook or to rip baits. Otherwise generally not "common", but certainly worth having a spare on hand.

both of my reel got a power handle.thanks a lot guys i really appreciate.btw if you have a versatile reel suggestion go for it.for now ive tried the tranx, the calcutta b and the revo toro.and none of them could replace my precious te.we need a petition to ask for a return lol i would sign it right away.i have seen petition for the return of the original special k so why not for one of the greatest reel ever made?

All this time I've been using the rod. Can someone thats a pro at this tell me how its done? This bit of snark must be aimed at me. I bought a Calcutta Conquest used, it had a power handle on it. The driveshaft was not bent, it had a groove worn into it. I have no idea what caused that. I bought a new driveshaft and replaced it. A cheap easy fix.

Many parts for the TE reels are discontinued from Shimano as of today Especially Left Hand Reel Parts. I would take off the Power Handles to save the Gears !!!

why the powerhandle could ruined the gear faster ?

no it don't engage when you know how to use it

Power Handles will wear out Gears in one Season, now that they are no longer Available I use the Stock handle on them, the gears will last a lot Longer that way.

wow that's a lot of guys that don't put their powerhandle toward the floor before a cast.
