Posts: 619 | Had this exact same thing happen. Boat flying directly at me at night on lake Minnetonka. Luckily I had just started the motor when I noticed it barreling right at me. It’s hard to judge the speed and exact direction it’s coming at night but as soon as it got within about maybe 50 feet I gunned it backwards and it missed my nose by inches. I don’t think they even noticed and were not even aware what just happened. They didn’t look back or even starteled. Edited by Slow Rollin 3/2/2018 9:46 PM

Posts: 268 | Howdy, That was crazy! So easy for accidents to happen on the water, especially at speed. Never assume people can see you and never assume they are sober. Plus, for those that fish at night or drive in at night, please keep your lights on as required by law. Take care, Ruddiger

Posts: 255 | Can you imagine? Just fishing, then nearly dead, for no reason? People always say be safe on the road, the lake, the snowmobile trail, and I always say I'll be fine but I keep an eye out for others. Had a cousin and two buddies t-boned in N. WI by a guy that never got on plane, and likely never saw them. They all bailed and were fine, but a simple alum. boat is no match for a bigger fiberglass.
