I bit the bullet and got a Lakewood Fat Boy box for the big trolling baits. You can fit two Headlocks/Mattlocks per slot( 15 slots total), which sure beats only a few/couple baits per Plano, plus all other baits fit. This box must be a new addition to their line since it isn't in their catalog, but it is shown on their web-site. The box has 3 big side pockets, which will eliminate the need for another bag. It appears to be sturdier than my 25 year old Musky Fever/Reed's/Burger Bros. box that is still very functional.

Interesting. I wish they still made the 18" high Extreme. Will the fat boy hold 14" Jakes and Plows? If it does it must be just barely...

The 14" Jake barely fits nose down in a cell. I store them in the tubes they come in and 3 fit in the exterior pocket of the case.

Sounds like the Fatboy is a bit too short for Plows and 14" Jakes.

Hi Walter, I'm not at this moment but may need another in the future at some point.
