| Love my Saltist 30,,it's the grey color era,,one recurring flaw in it is the clutch spring that connects to manual casting lever have a tendency to bind or jam had it replaced twice.
I've been told you don't need the spring it will work just fine without it,,wondering if anybody has tried this??? |

| it's true, you can use the saltiest without the spring. only thing you risk is bumping the lever on your cast and re-engaging the spool early but that hasn't happened to me yet. |
